This Privacy Policy describes how CloudSpinner ("the App"), developed by Hans Martin Austestad ("we", "us", or "our"), handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

CloudSpinner is available for iOS, macOS, and Android, and this policy applies to all supported platforms.

Data Collection

We do not collect personal data. CloudSpinner is a cloud-based music player that connects to your chosen cloud storage provider to stream and download your own audio files. CloudSpinner itself does not:

• Collect or store personal information on our servers
• Track your location
• Access contacts, photos, or unrelated device data
• Use advertising identifiers, cookies, or tracking technologies
• Sell or share user data with third parties
• Require a CloudSpinner account

How the App Works

CloudSpinner allows you to stream and download audio files from your own cloud storage accounts, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive. Authentication and file access are handled directly between you and the selected provider.

CloudSpinner does not store cloud credentials on external servers. Playback, playlist management, downloads, and audio processing occur locally on the device. CloudSpinner does not use analytics or tracking to monitor listening behavior.

Third-Party Services

CloudSpinner integrates with third-party cloud storage services (such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive) solely to access media files owned by the user. These services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

We do not guarantee continued availability of any specific third-party service integration and reserve the right to modify, replace, or discontinue integrations at any time due to technical, legal, or other considerations.

CloudSpinner does not integrate with third-party advertising or tracking services.

Data Protection and Security

We take the protection of your data seriously. CloudSpinner implements the following security measures:

• OAuth 2.0 Authentication: CloudSpinner uses industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols to authenticate with cloud storage providers. Your cloud service passwords are never seen or stored by CloudSpinner.
• Secure Token Storage: Authentication tokens are stored securely using the device's native secure storage mechanisms (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), which provide hardware-backed encryption.
• Encrypted Communications: All network communications between CloudSpinner and cloud storage providers use TLS/HTTPS encryption to protect data in transit.
• Local Data Encryption: Downloaded audio files and app data are stored in the app's sandboxed storage area, protected by the device's native file encryption when device encryption is enabled.
• No External Servers: CloudSpinner does not transmit your data to any servers owned or operated by us. All data flows directly between your device and your chosen cloud storage provider.
• Data Minimization: CloudSpinner only requests the minimum permissions necessary to function – read-only access to your files in cloud storage.

Data Retention and Deletion

CloudSpinner stores authentication tokens locally on your device until you disconnect your cloud storage account or uninstall the app. You can revoke CloudSpinner's access at any time through your cloud provider's account settings.

Downloaded audio files remain on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling CloudSpinner removes all locally stored data, including authentication tokens, cached files, and app settings.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. Since CloudSpinner does not collect personal data, the app is suitable for users of all ages. Access to third-party cloud services is governed by the policies of the respective providers.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
